Terms of Use

These terms explain what Telidioma does, what you can expect and what we expect from you. By creating an account or using the extension, you agree to them. We wrote them without legalese on purpose: if any part is unclear, write to us before subscribing.
1. Who we are
Telidioma is operated by Gabriel Lima da Silva. Contact: contato@telidioma.com. For everyday questions, use the Help center.
2. What Telidioma is
It is a browser extension that makes YouTube subtitles interactive: you click a word or select a phrase and get a translation, a definition and an example of use, plus a second subtitle line in your language.
What it is not:
- It is not a video service. The content belongs to YouTube and its creators, not to us.
- It does not download, store or redistribute videos.
- It is not a course, it issues no certificate and it guarantees no learning outcome.
- It is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
3. Account
- The account is personal and created with your email, by magic link or with Google.
- You are responsible for keeping access to your email, because that is how you sign in.
- Do not share your account. Unreasonable simultaneous use may lead to suspension.
- If you are under 18, use it with permission from whoever is responsible for you.
4. Free plan
Every account starts on the free plan, which does not ask for a card and never turns into a charge. It has a daily limit on translations and on videos with dual subtitles, so the service stays sustainable for everyone.
5. Plans and billing
- Yearly plan: charged once, with no automatic renewal. After 12 months access ends, unless you subscribe again.
- Monthly plan: charged every month, with automatic renewal until you cancel.
The current price is always shown on the subscribe page, in your local currency. Payment is processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your card number: that data goes straight to the processor.
Prices can change, but never retroactively. Anyone who already paid keeps the agreed price until the end of the period. A change to the monthly plan is announced by email in advance, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You cancel yourself, at any time, from your account, without talking to anyone. The deadlines, the 7 day money back window and how to request a refund are detailed in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
7. Acceptable use
By using Telidioma, you agree not to:
- Resell, sublicense or charge third parties for access.
- Automate bulk lookups, scrape data or use the account as an API.
- Attempt to bypass usage limits, the login or the billing.
- Use the service for illegal activity or anything that violates the rights of others.
If we identify use of that kind, we may suspend the account. Where there is paid and unused value, it is refunded proportionally, except in cases of fraud.
8. Availability
We work to keep the service running, but it depends on third parties, in particular YouTube, which can change how it works at any moment and affect subtitle capture. Maintenance and failures can also happen.
If a prolonged interruption is caused by us and leaves the service unavailable, you are entitled to a proportional refund. See the refund policy.
9. Intellectual property
The Telidioma software, brand and content are ours. Video content belongs to its creators and to YouTube. The translations generated for your study are yours for personal use, but not for commercial redistribution.
10. Limitation of liability
Translations and explanations are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors. They are meant for study and should not be used as official, legal, medical or technical translation. We are not responsible for decisions made based on them.
Nothing here limits rights granted to you by the consumer law of your country.
11. Privacy
How we handle your data is in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Relevant changes are announced by email or inside the product, with reasonable notice. The date at the top always indicates the version in force. If you disagree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.
13. Governing law
Telidioma is operated from Brazil and these terms are governed by Brazilian law. This does not remove any mandatory protection granted to you by the consumer law of your country of residence.
